I have to ask; is $1k each truly now market price for unrefinished deep sixes, or are you being speculatively optimistic? Not being snide, just curious.

There is an interesting phenomenon going on currently: With out of control prices enthusiasts are paranoid that they will leave money on the table. I wish I had a dollar for every time I've heard over the last month "I should have waited to sell my thing". (I would have $8-$9 in my pocket!) To engage in this futile exercise is... well... futile. It is my observation that sellers are pricing things on the high side just to cover themselves. Charles is a very fair, very engaged enthusiast who has thrown a price out there but is welcoming offers. Textbook example of current state of affairs. Let's be smart enough to read between the lines and remember the first rule of business: EVERY PRICE is negotiable.

I think the new reality is that "Suggested List Price" has found a home in the used collector car/parts market.

Starting a thread on this in General as I don't want to jack this listing.
