FS: 64/5 solex air filter housing complete

DSC02862.JPGDSC02864.JPGMorning Gents, this is my first posting so please advise if my etiquette is not correct. Having recently finished restoration of my 64 911 I have some surplus parts to dispose of. I have a complete Solex air filter housing. I am based Nr London in the U.K and have received and shipped many parts to and from the U.S. Happy to pack ready for despatch or collection by your preferred carrier.
$2400.00 please. I am unsure how to upload pictures so send e-mail address or let me know. Many thanks, Glynn

    Hi Glynn and welcome.

Fwiw there have been a lot of scams for parts for sale originating in the UK. Not posting a pic may seem like a minor thing, but in todays world it may raise a flag with some buyers here. After all, a resto on a '64 requires a fair bit of "savvy" in and of itself, even if others did the work for you. As for posting a pic, all you do is hit the "insert image" just above the text box when you are creating your message.

You also need to be flexible with your payment terms - if you insist only on Western Union as your only payment form, a lot of people will quite rightfully get even more nervous.

Morning Bruce thanks for the heads up. Always tricky being the new boy ! I agree it is worrying sending money off into space....requires a great deal of trust and honesty. My e-bay account is 72911st which may count for something via feedback. I have corresponded with Bob Fleming on his 232 Registry during the resto of 300100. Paypal has such large fees, what would be the preferred method of payment for you guys ? I have supplied bank details in the past, would this be acceptable ? Thanks again, very best, Glynn

I can vouch for Glynn. He is an active poster on DDK.
