I like the one I have because it is ROW.

Andrea you can see TAN madras seats on posts 219 and 220 on show your seats thread. They are the same pattern as on pg 54 Johnson book.

I love the color. Mine was delivered with a black interior. Tan is also very attractive. I have no idea how many were made in 73 but as aubergine was a standard color in 73 I don't suspect it's all that rare.

According to this research made by Biancaneve there are only:
    MY 1973: 10
    MY 1972: 3
Aubergine coupè on a total of 550 (more or less) car in his database

It seems a pretty rare color
Also beige/tan interior seems to be rare on Aubergine....90% I see in my life had black enterior!

If we make a quick and dirty extrapolation, I'd say that around 80/90 Aubergine 2.4 S might have been produced (1972+1973)

how much is the total production of coupè my72-73? more or less 3000? (I can't check in this moment)

In this case only 80/100 Aubergine 2.4S coupè makes it a very rare color...2.5/3.5% of total production!

...and how many of this 2.5/3.5% has the beige/tan interior???

    wow!

What 911enthusiast think about this color?

    They like it or not?

It's not in my top5 favorite color but I'm starting to love it (especially thinking that it will have SportRecaro beige+piedpoule).....it's very 70's style!
