    Cad Plating

Use International Chromium Plating in Providence RI. 401-421-0205

They do what is called according to them, decorative plating whch I take to mean they prep it properly so it remains looking good. I used them years ago when restoring a 1919 Harley for the dull nickel and again recently for Cadmium for a Vincent I am working on. I used a somewhat local industrial plater who only charger $150 to do about 150 pieces. I was thrilled untill a week later when it started tarnishing. International knew what was done wrong and re-did it correctly (for anothr $275!) but the quality and service is tops.
They don't take credit cards and call with an estimate that requires partial prepayment but when you want it done right and nothing lost it is worth any inconvenience. My Vincent is slowly coming back together so no photos at present but trust me, they are good. Sithot knows good things about them too.

CR Hudgins in Lynchburg, Va. is who i will be using. several of the baltimore/dc guys have used them with good results and prices were good. when i say good i've found folks who paid $58 for 40lbs of stuff.

don't have phone # at home.

btw, this is for yellow zinc, not true cad.

    Hi David,

I do my own Zinc Cad plating and yellow cad coloring in my garage with a Caswell kit called Copy Cad. If you, or anyone else wants to learn more, I am the tech chair for a local Porsche club and I have written a Word document detailing the process, or you can check out Caswell's site at:

    Good luck, Tom
