    1966 Model Year Targa !

    Open car folks,

    Gotta have it! Someone went to the trouble to convert a '66 coupe to a Targa! On eBay:

    i love targas but converting a coupe , come one what were they thinking then

    i especially love the flares,, LOL

    to who ever gets it , it a lot of work and will be a great challenge

    I wonder if it is even possible to be able to get a good fit on the targa top and glass. A very experienced early 911 body person could end spending many hours to get it right, and still not be able to. Why didn't the PO just buy a targa instead of a coupe - unless the car was rolled. In any case, if I were planning to buy the car, I would go all out and make it a 66 speedster cab. Once you have chopped the top, why not just go all the way and do a custom one off car...
