How to getfull heat with twin plug?

I have a small dilemma and figured I would reach out to the brains in this forum. I am building up a hot rod motor with twin plug distributor and have run into a situation where the distributor interferes with heat duct on the left side of the engine. I had Damon of Series 900 fame set me up with a complete engine FG set so I have heat block offs for both sides. Trouble is I live in the North East and run around in the colder weather so I wold like to get heat into both sides of the car if possible. Anybody know how to configure this?

Not to over state the obvious, but it sounds like you need a Webasto! That's how the factory did it.

I have full heat on my twin plugged (old style single 12 point cap) rally car. Started with stock heater ducts both sides. We then cut a curved section out of the left hand side duct to make room for the dist'r, and then filled in the opening. The duct will then have a narrowed part near the dist'r but the heat works fine.

Joe, I guess I assumed you were running headers, if you've got heat exchangers Ryans method is good one. Maybe Damon could mod that for you in the right fiberglass.

There's a stock piece that will work as well.
When I backdated the heat on my 3.2 Motronic, Mayo Performance (ask Tom) got me a factory steel piece (maybe from a Turbo) that fit in there nicely behind the distributor.
Not sure what the part number is???
Common and not too expensive from the dealer.

Doug is correct, the Turbo used a special drivers side air duct if still available. Gled
