    Cesar Says . . .

    Hey, Paul . . .

    Yeah --- they do, but, after a while? . . . no real need

    We've been watching Cesar Milan ('The Dog Whisperer') ever since he's been on TV. Cesar says that 'whatever you're feeling travels down the leash' and I have to say that I agree

    I mean --- these guys could get sooooo crazy . . . but --- when I wanted 'em to sit still/behave/mug-for-Papa . . . all I had to do was be calm/assertive

    Worked every time

    I think part of what I so enjoy about having a 'pack' around --- vs 'just one' . . . is how totally involving/absorbing/satisfying it is being around these knuckleheads. I mean . . . shopping, going to the Vet, camping, having friends over? --- was just a blast . . . especially with The Kids. Sweetest mayhem --- w/ wagging tails . . . and no one minded. Even taught 'em to sing @My Little One's 21st b-day

    Still get kinda choked-up just thinking about it

    Dog = fun

    More dogs = more fun

    Lotsa dogs = etc

    Hi Rick,

    You are right. I used it at first; it served its purpose and I never had to use it again. Here was mine. RIP Stärken. Miss ya buddy.

    I am going to get another one day soon. And a German bred Doberman for a buddy. I think that will be a nice mix.

    After nearly 12 years we put our beloved black lab Ben to sleep yesterday - he will be sorely missed. He also loved ice cream - and that's what he had for his journey.

    Nick- So sorry to hear about Ben. What a fabulous looking dog. I am very partial to labs (never have owned one but have been around so many I feel like I have). These buddies are so central to us, our families, our packs. My heart goes out to you. Remember him well.
