Steering wheel decode on a 380mm

I have read the "truth" thread in the classifieds and I have sold some early 914 380mm wheels here in the past. Yes, I plan to sell this one also but before I list it in the classifieds, .....there is always a but...… I have a question on the part number. Part number is 914 347 80x 10 with a date code of 12 69. Now the question is about the "x" if you look hard you can see it was stamped 803 but then there is a 4 stamped over it. That 4 does not look like factory to me. So what do I have here? I believe it is a 803 10, but then why would a 4 be stamped over it and not in the correct factory font? The wheel it self came off a 70 914 it is a ebonite wheel.

    Your thoughts? Thanks!
