Greetings all,

I have bought from one the fellow Porsche enthusiast a 1978 VW Riviera Camper - Riviera is the USA equivalent of German Westfalia.
They bought empty microbus from the VW factory and transformed those into camper. So far so good.

There always a But in every story, here it is : the French MOT (road registration dpt) is arguing that my VW is just a microbus as per the vin nb, and I must prove the transformation was done 30 years ago / or a document (title / invoices etc.) proving it is registered as a camper officially.
Got the US (Montana) Title which indicates among other data:
  • Year : 1978
  • Make : Volkswagen
  • Model : HSCR (? do not know what is it despite googled it)
  • Style : VN
  • NCIC : PC

Is there any way the title contains the camper type ? OR get a certificate from Riviera (which I believe does not exist anymore) ?
Any help appreciated !
