Guys,
So it comes down to this. I bought this car just before Christmas off the Pelican Board. As you may recall, the plan was to strip it down to metal and repaint it tangerine with a deco trim stripped off 911R look. Well, my painter is acting a little flaky these days, and to make life more complicated, I am now in the process of moving from Zurich to Munich later this month. Meanhwile this beautiful car is sitting in my painters garage in West Palm Beach FL gathering dust and waiting for my return to the US which seems to become continually delayed.
It is with my tail between my legs that I have come to post this, but I am now thinking of selling her, since I am not there to oversee the paint work and too busy dealing with the upcoming move and ensuing chaos.
Here is the thread with everything you need to know.

As you will see from the pic's included in the link above, the car went thru a thorough transformation from a mild mannered 2.0L 911L to a 3.0 liter beast last Summer, complete with front and rear SC suspension as well as Weber Carb's and SSI exhaust. HP is conservatively estimated at around 200hp based upgraded exhaust (stainless SSI's and Dansk muffler) alone. I am guessing that the Webers add even another 10-15 so expect at least 210hp and alot of raw, low end torque! Along with the engine upgrade, Tre & Co added a front oil cooler to keep her cool when driving her hard. The PO also had the good taste and wisdom of widening the rear wheel wells and slapping on a nice set of Fuchs 7's with fresh Yoko rubber to handle the extra hp under the hood.
I sold the non period correct 72/73 Recaro sport seats to my buddy Rick2 to help him with his 73S resto, and to fund the shipping costs and paint work. Rick2 graciously loaned me his correct and freshly restored 68 seats to use while I decide what seats to go with. They theoretically would go with the car if someone wants them and are in brand new condition.

I have not had the pleasure of driving her yet, but all of the people who have driven her or sat shot gun said that it is a blast. The fact that Tre did all of the work should speak for itself.

Okay, the downside of the car is that it is not the original color (which is tangerine), and it is not the original engine (many will consider this the good news though). So anyone looking to have a very original car should look elswhere. In addition, I have also been told by Rick2 while he was taking the seats out that the interior is somewhat tired. I have meanwhile come up with a good uncracked replacement dash which will go with the car, and of course the newly restored 68L seats which will go a long way in getting the interior cleaned up. So I am guessing that what would be left to do would be the interior vinyl panels and carpets. A good carpet kit from Pelikan will set you back around $400, and a new set of RS door panels would run another few hundred. So $600 should have the interior looking very nice. More importantly though, I have been reassured that the car has NO RUST issues and has no body rot at all.
In short, if anyone is interested in taking over this tangerine diamond currently painted dark red metallic, I am willing to unload it for exactly what I have into it which is right around $16,800 before going the EBay route. I would also be willing to consider swapping plus or minus cash for a nice 69-73 911 911T targa in good original or mildy restored condition. Not looking for a trailer queen, but a good straight driver. Any mechanical upgrades would be welcomed as well. Loud colors also welcomed...
Interested parties feel free to PM me.

Thanks.

P.S. Just to clarify, I did not buy this car in order to strip the sports seats and flip it. I don't roll that way...
