911 S sport version seat covers

I am currently restoring a 2.2S to the original sport version specification.

Can anyone identify the seat cover material on the picture below? The photo is from a sales brochure showing the interior of the 911S sport version from 1970. Maybe suede?

    Any help appreciated!
