I prefer running my '67 without the roll bar on the street. My new seat (old driver bucket) doesn't set up well for the regular 3-point retractable shoulder belts that I usually use when the roll bar is out.

I'm thinking of using the Corbeau retractable 3-point shoulder harness double release belts, using the side factory mount for the rear strap. Here's a picture of the belts:



I really like being able to use the existing back mounting point and not drilling any additional holes. I also like having a shoulder harness that is retractable and allows for movement. And Corbeau pricing is really attractive.

Two questions:

(1) Is the mounting configuration OK (safe)?

(2) Are Corbeau belts OK? The reason I ask about them is that they are a fraction of the price of comparable Schroths.
