SOLD

For sale is my spare '69S engine case.

I got around to cleaning the case and taking some nice photos, so the upshot is that you can really see all of the details of the case. The case has been cleaned in a large, engine parts washer and then coated in Gibbs preservative.

This is a very, very early 1969 case, number 222 of the series. This case would have been on a car most likely built in calendar year 1968. If you have a car with a very early VIN, this would be a great case for you if your original is missing.

Details:
Series number: 901/10
Serial number: 6390222
Intermediate shaft number: '0'
Case half numbers match
Spigot bore is stock
No case savers
As original, does not have piston squirters

As with any used mag case, this case will need a line-bore or case resizing from reputable shop.

An additional detail of note is that one of the main bearing retainers will need minor touch up welding. Walt at Competition Engineering has seen the bearing reatiner seat and was not concerned - he can fix the issue for around $150 and says this work will not affect longevity or performance. Once the case is gone through, it will be as good as new.

I was originally asking $900 when I last put it up for sale (when I had no pics). I have discounted the price of this case to compensate for the additional cost of this additional step in the case refurbishment.

Now asking $750

If you have a '69S without an original, correct case, this one is as good as any to bring your car that once last step back toward originality.
