One of the pleasures of restoring a car from parts is finding that you need parts that you didn't even know existed. Tonight I went to install my distributor (1970 2.2T Marelli), and found that I needed a 'clamping bow' to hold it to the crankcase. When I saw it in the parts guide, I thought 'oh - I've seen one of those in some bucket of hardware'. Well, the photo attached is close, but no cigar. The large hole is not large enough to go over the distributor shaft, and the holes are a few mm too far apart. But the thing I'm looking for (P.N. 999.511.046.02) should be very similar. Anyone retire a Marelli, and toss the right clamp in a bucket somewhere?
