I was putting some new straps on my rear seatbacks in my '68 last night. I had a heck of a time trying to nail the old nails back into the wood. I ended up shooting a few heavy duty staples in with my staple gun to hold the straps to the seatbacks. It's covered up by the carpet anyways and does the trick.

What kind of wood did they use on these frames anyways, super duper German Oak? I would think Porsche would use balsa wood or some other lightweight, that would take nails easily.

Things to ponder on a Friday afternoon....
