The journey begins. My buddy Lewis and I have decided to trek cross-country in our vintage German iron to sample some of the West Coast's Porsche wares. Are their events better than ours? Prevailing East Coast scuttle says no, but we're willing to find out. Provided we actually get there.

Between Lewis and I we've got two somewhat untested cars. Lew has a new (to him) SC which recently underwent a thorough pre-flight tune and check at his own hand. Me? I'm driving my trusty steed but with an entirely new (to me) engine plugged into her. We've both turned enough wrenches on these wenches to be dumb enough to give this a try.

Google says 43 hours. Bah. That's interstate. You don't see anything from the interstate except the arse end of someone's econo-box. We're not looking for tailpipes, we're looking for adventure. Hazard to guess we'll find quite a bit of both along the way.

Cheers,
Mike
