Lol! "All metal car no rust" Nice door gaps!
From the Ebay ad:
"We are selling our 1971 Porsche 911t. we rescued nearly 7 years ago. This is an all metal/no rust car. Paint is recent. Original color is sapphire blue. This is a numbers matching car and comes with POA certification, 7 years of receipts and clean title. I have most of the small trim bits needed to finish car--but this is a 90% complete driver. It is registered and insured. I just finished installing the seats, headliner, carpet and mats, visors, rear parcel shelf, and seat belts. New shifter assembly is installed, but bushing adjustment/replacement might be needed behind shift linkage. I have a few items that are period correct, but not original--(the original items were too far gone)--Steering wheel, seats, radio, rear deck lid and shifter linkage.
I have included a lot of photos, but have more if needed. Please text me with more questions or to arrange a meeting to see/drive the car. It is for sale locally and will end ad if sold. If you see it--its still for sale."

The car has been offered on the PCA classifieds for months. Same price the whole time, but limited pictures. The larger pictures on eBay certainly tell a story.

My father and I went to check this car out in person since we're just across the bridge in Philly. His asking price is a straight pipe dream. The paint is very rough, a "World of Color" special as the seller put it, much worse in person. From a quick inspection, the pans looked mostly rust free, but judging by some of the other falsehoods, I would be wary. Engine smoked like a chimney and it was impossible to find 2nd gear. The guy is not particularly knowledgeable about Porsches and seems to think because it's a longhood, it's an instant hit. I've joked with a local buddy that he should call and offer him $25k and see if he takes it. It'll need a complete proper paint job and some mechanical love to get to the 90% he describes.

I wonder if they used more than a gallon of filler or if they managed to keep it at a gallon.
This car looks vaguely familiar to me. Could someone share the sellers name? Perhaps just the first name?????
