Nice car!
I am restoring a RHD 1969 S.
Is the engine lid steel or aluminium?
Thanks, Andy

Indeed Brian
Well I have disocovered many things about this car over the past few months and its had a chequered past.....
Was blue, had a webasto sunroof at some stage and became a wide body too so suffice to say not a lot of original metal left on the car. Can see where the rears have been wleded back on.
Remarkable that gearbox and engine are still the originals.
I have acquired a missing oil cooler, cover plate and correct lines thanks to a respected member of this board, I have located the under bumper lights,
a grand prix radio thanks to another respected member, have a RHD dash (its currently got a non speaker Porsche replacement one in it currently), door pockets
I switched the indicator and wiper stalks back to factory setting (opposite of most other Porsches specified this way) the wiring was obviously that way from day one and someone probably thought they had been put back incorrectly.
I am praying (haven't looked yet) that the wiring still exists for the TTG and under bumper lights and that its tucked up in a bundle somewhere up front
First port of call is to tackle the mechanicals which are not that great actually.
Still looking for a hirschmann electric antenna from the day that works and can someone explain what full leather meant in 69 door cards, seats, knee pads all the rear including parcel shelf??
