Thanks for the pictures and enjoy the trip.
Thanks for the pictures and enjoy the trip.
Had a very nice sunny day in Ireland today.
We stayed in a very very nice B&B that was formerly property of some boygroup celebrity.
I stumbled upon a crusty 3.0si keys were still sticking but it had some rust issues.
And the mother of that calf must have met a Panda somewhere...
Great stuff, Uli . . .
. . . keep it coming

Had a couple of days some sunny some a bit moist on the Irish coast.
I‘ve already started with a series of pics from off duty stations.

We covered the 4.000th Kilometer of the Trip today.
This morning weather forecast for Goodwood was promising it would be really good if it stayed mostly dry.
A couple of days ago we „nulled“ making the 200.000th km with the CSi. It has developed a small leak in the radiator core, but it is so small that it is less than a 1/4 Liter a day—so no need to do something apart from keeping an eye on it.
I guess the CSi is about the perfect car for the trip it’s soft sprung and has enough ground clearance to be ok with the small roads here. Driving on the left is not an issue but visibility in left turns is suffering and sometimes you need to rely on your passenger when overtaking.
Hope you had a nice time in Kerry (my home) .... its a great place to get lost ....

. . . looks like you have the roads + places to yourselves
Great place to use a BMW
More, please?
.......
Thanks Karl, yes we‘ve been to Kerry. Thanks for the tips in the other Ireland thread we managed to check out some places you mentioned. If we had one day more we would have visited your sister.
My wife already plans for the next Ireland trip.
I‘ll check with Dave = perhaps there is an opportunity to do something with the Porsche club. Or perhaps a place for an European early 911s meeting.
We‘ll hurry up to the ferry to England today.
Cheers Uli
Really enjoyed looking through your pictures...a nice getaway ...
