Geoff has really been putting in the time, making great progress. The motor is in, the suspension is set up, steering is done. He even has some cool ideas for the brakes. I'm thinking this project is starting to take shape.

Yesterday was cool. I borrowed an original fender off of 0054, thankfully my friend trusted me with it for a few weeks. The info it gave us was invaluable to make a pattern off of. Placement of the headlight, turn signal, and horn/brake cooling opening is crucial. For example, look at the pattern on our wire frame. The turn signal and headlight are good, so our info on those up until now was accurate, but look how far off our opening was for the brake cooling, way way off, now it will be accurate. The devil is in the details....
And when you do it this way, you know it's right on the money! Like, "where do I put the mirror?", oh, right where the holes are on the original fender!
The big moves are fun but sometimes the little ones are fun too.
