    Frozen admission pipe

    Greetings,

got a bizarre effect on one side/ramp of my rebuilt Weber 40IDS. One ramp is ok (cyl. 1,2,3), but the other one (cyl. 4,5,6) has water drops/ice on its manifold.
Only changes before rebuild is I swapped the factory air filter to PMO air filters. (one on top of each ramp)

Looks like the mixture is too rich, but rebuilt both side the exact same.

Hence I reduced the air/fuel mixture to lean it and the phenomenon comes but looks less.

I have sone thing in mind : incorrect float height setup or float stuck.

Again, one ramp is fine, the other is frozen - carbs were running almost fine before rebuilt (they were dirty and needed some care) - no changes in setup.

    Any help appreciated.

    Found the sources :
    - I cleaned carefully the carbs, and previous setup was done with dirty carbs. Hence "old" setup not relevant anymore
    - One float setup was incorrect, resulting in a overflow of gas, running faaaar too rich

However, I setup again the float, back to factory setup and tuning. No more ice/water drops -
Now tweaking with road tests (love that part)

Xavier get a double WBO2 Setup. I wouldn't want to do anything without it.

too warm for icing, sounds like you're problem was fuel seepage.
