    1971 Banjo fittings

I know there are a few other threads on this and I've read through them. I have a 1971 with MFI and am having trouble finding the correct fitting for the return line at the tank connection.

The first photo below shows what I understand to be the correct fittings. On the left is the 9mm line to the fuel pump. I have that installed. Now, turning to the return line I understand that's 7mm. The hole size in the Ring is 14mm which fits the Banjo bolt and screws into the tank. The problem is that the end of the pipe on the one I have is 9mm and is too large to take the 7mm return line. See Ring fitting at top of second photo.

So I purchased another ring connection that has a 7mm end for the hose - but the problem is that the ring is too small to fit the banjo - its only 12mm. See Ring fitting at bottom of second photo..

So i guess what I need is a 14mm ring with a 7mm end for the hose. But I can't find that....any ideas?

Ok, I reached out to Len Cummings as he makes these fittings. However, he asked me if I wanted an 18 or a 22 ID Banjo. So now I am confused again...I thought it would be 14 mm .... I know that the two main fittings are 22mm. But I believe the smaller middle hole is about 13/14mm

    help appreciated...

First, what happened to your original fitting, and second, does Len have a 14 mm banjo?

Hmm. I've got some metric banjos in the garage. Might be VW parts. I'll take a look at them.

Edit - I looked, all my surplus are VW parts that take an M12 bolt. Sorry.

The car came without the correct fitting. Yes, Len is taking a look for me. Fingers crossed.
