Hello Haul -
Here's a short build history on my 911.
This early 911 is a numbers matching car built in April 1965. I have worked with some of the top people in the industry over the past 7 years to insure the correct parts were used for this early 911.
The body metal work was performed and supervised as one of the last cars by Raplh "Mutt" Brawley whose retirement was featured in an 8 page article in the Panorama issue of May 2016. One of the featured pictures is of my 911 on the jack stands being worked in the shop.
The engine and transaxle is completely correct and was rebuilt by Martin Steger who graduated in 1968 as one of 12 apprentices under Dr Porsche in Stuttgart Zuffenhausen. During this time Martin worked on the 901 project. Then Martin's first assignment at the Porsche factory, was building the first 25 917 engines to be homologated. Over many years he worked for several racing teams like Toad Hall racing with driver’s Bob Bailey and Mike Keyser. Over his career he has built many engines and transmissions for numerous other racing teams. Martin had retired several times but was called by a friend of mine to rebuild the engine and transmission for my 1965 Porsche 911 Vin# 300XXX.
The Ruby Red exterior paint work was performed by Altissimo Custom Paint in California by Brandon Pensirini who has completed multiple high valued SWB 911's and 356's for many.
The interior is all correct from Autos International Incorporated.
There are many more details of this build that are too numerous to list here.
Let me know if you have any comments or questions.
Cheers!

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.
