    Mechanical to electronic conversion

I have someone who wants a 76 trans installed in their 73 car. So electric speedo conversion is needed. What Am I looking at besides the sensor pick up on the side of the transmission?

Just run a speaker wire pair up the tunnel with a 2 connector at the trans and connect it to the electric speedo, which you will have to get. I got a core, had Palo Alto convert it to silver dot. It does have 6 digit mileage and push button reset.

Thanks for chiming in. Looks like speedo needs power and ground, and one wire from sensor goes to terminal 31 on speedo, and the other to ground. There is also a terminal A on the speedo, I’ll check a wiring diagram and see where that goes. Is the speedo in your yellow hot rod mechanical, or electric ?

By the looks of your odometer you need to drive that car more.

That’s the electric speedo with push button reset. It has 900 miles now.
