Searching for my late fathers old 1967 Aga Blue 911 elec. sunroof car - VIN 308073

    Hello all,

I am looking for a specific car. It's a 1967 911 in Aga blue and tan interior. This car was owned by my father for many years (1987ish to about 2003). We pulled out the original engine and put in a 2.7 stroker motor back in the 90's. I then listed and sold the numbers matching engine on ebay for $2,500... (sigh). My father restored the exterior during his ownership with all new paint but the interior remained original. As another defining element, we also had a Porsche crest installed on the dashboard by the glovebox area. The car was sold in about 2003 to a gentleman here is Wisconsin for $15,000 (second sigh). I was also aware of the next owner as well, but lost track of the car after that.

I was able to find some further information on it yesterday in a previous for sale listing reference dated 01-03-2008. Apparently it was restored once again prior to the listing at that time. The 2.7L engine serial is 6273310. Here is an excerpt from the listing:"US model coupe serial number 308073 has the engine s/n of 6273310 on a matching color codes (6608) Aga Blue over a henna leatherette interior. The car has gorgeous new OEM paint in its original color set off by a correct and newly installed interior and carpets. The dash pad and door panels are perfect and are like new. The car is nicely optioned with a ultra rare electric sliding sunroof, tinted glass, gauge package with external temp gauge, 165 x 15 tires with steel wheels, Nardi wood wheel, Bursche exhaust, new stainless heat exchangers, and a fresh rebuild to the Webber carbs .The car just had a major service done last spring. Great looking car that runs and sounds super strong."

I would love to purchase this car back (in any state) since it has much sentimental value to me - my father died not too long after we sold the car, and I would love to be able to take my children for rides in this 911 just like my father did with me. I would be interested in a cash deal or a potential trade (of some kind) for one of my E30 M3's.

Please feel free to reach out with any information on the car's whereabouts.

Here is a photo of the car (and me in it) circa 1989.

Hi Chris, it looks like a fawn color interior in the picture from 1989.

Thank for your kind words guys. I believe you are right. The original interior was much lighter than the restored "henna" color.

Here are some additional photos from 89.

What happened to the Fuchs between 1989 and 2008?

We sold them with the car in 2003. It appears that they were removed when the second restoration occurred. It’s unclear where they are at this point though.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.

Joe, I did have a car just like that years ago. It was a one owner, same color with red interior, but no sunroof.
