Drivers side battery cables are a mess. Seems like some of the cables should go above the battery, but there are no clamps to hold them. Anyone have a pic of what they should look like?? 1969
Thanks in advance
Steve

Slip your cables behind the battery hold down strap, keeps them out of the way

Steve, u should install the rubber insulation blocks on your positive cable ends of the batteries, available from Porsche. Pix shows one installed and one upside down so u can see the profile.
David- that was a great idea! Gled49, I will order those insulators—which reminded me of a stupid thing I did when I was only using one large battery. I will start a thread of stupid things, so others may not repeat mistakes!
I did add a hose clamp for the top wires that uses a fender screw.

The accessory wires route along the hood cable tube and are attached to it with a WHITE ty-wrap, the battery cables run along the trunk floor and bend up to the battery positive post.

Ed,
That looks great! I will have to work getting my cables too look like yours.
I checked and Wire ties have been around since the 1950s. I don't know any place else they were used on my 1969.
Perhaps helpful. I believe it is done right.
