Hello, I purchased this car (9112300505) last year. It is a ‘72S in Signal Orange.
- Tranny number is numbers matching to the COA: 324161
- Production number is: 1022589 and the Invoice Date is 1972 02
I have not been able to find the Production Completion Date. From information in your registry can you narrow down a production month and year?
In December I had the interior redone.
Best regards,
Tony

I think it is early in January 1972. 0538 and 0550 were completed on 14 Jan but that may not be the best comparison as they were both ST's and (at least for the last part of their construction) would have been completed on a different production line. However one of those also has a production number very close to yours (within 10) which may be a better indication of when the production of the car was commenced
Also the little spec book says that the last 911S completed on Dec 31 1971 was 230 0489 However in all of these comparisons it is important to note that they are not completed in vin order.
To add a bit of extra data 0415 was a December car and 0576 was a January car.

Mine is numbers matching and I have an early COA with all that data. Mechanically sound but has Webers instead of MFI. And the Sport Seats it came with are long gone. No radio either. It has period correct Wolf Racing alloy frame seats and an old Raid wheel complete with an alloy hub.
I have had it for 30 years and it has been rained on ONCE!
Needs a dash, knee pads, door toppers and door panels (just want plain black ones and a RH drive left door pull) to finish up the inside. After that I will start addressing the paint.
It was silver but was painted white (not sure how many times). I call it a 50 footer as it looks great from 50 feet.It is pretty straight, but as a 50 year old car an acquaintance used to pick up girls at the bar and let them drive, it has its issues.
Amazingly it has all the original body parts and even original windows with the green tint. Even with 108K on the clock, it "runs like a clock". Finally have those Webers right, and I kind of like them... but... I wish they had a choke or enrichener. It can be a pill to start when cold.
BTW I have the original dated 1972 wheels. Even the original "Dog Bone" spare that has never been put on the ground. Went to 16s for the 15" tires were a PITA to get at the time. Even have a 16" spare riding up front.

sorry for the offtopix, regarding your green crystals! Is there an option code for it? It is something that has never been clear to me since in my car they come "tinted" does not indicate color in the extra number 568
