A Targa raced at the SCCA runoffs in Atlanta sometime in the seventies period. Might search that venue.

Holy shit! Please keep them coming. I'm looking for 'racing themed' inspiration to do with my car. This is where I am so far. Thanks Guys!

Some more racing targa photos. Most are from a thread on Pelican

Love this car Peter! Do you remember your wheel and tire sizes? Looks like an LWB with flares?
Thanks again for the continued photos Eric!
Back then (~1987), I was running aftermarket 7 x 15 inch rims with Yokohama A001R tires in size 195R/60-15 (these great tires are NLA). My fenders were stock (still are) but I rolled the rear fender lips. I also have aluminum rear trailing arms which offer great negative camber. All of that said, after replacing my shocks mid-season, the suspension geometry/effectiveness changed such that I experienced tire rub in the rear fender wells (the ride height was ultimately too low as well). The burn marks in the paint are still present. I have the stock Fuchs 6 x 15 with Pirellis in stock 185/70-15 size currently. I may try the old 7 x 15 inch rims again with some form of sticky 205/60-15 if I can find an interesting offering, just for fun. And I never had any issues with the front fenders.
