Ed, have you seen how it holds up over time?

Anybody look at Cerakote ceramic paint good for hi heat They have lots of colors
Thanks, Rick
Cerakote would probably work good, but I was looking for something I could do myself. Nobody around me does it so it would call for shipping, packing, ect.
I'm trying Cerakote as we speak (meaning done in a few weeks)
We settled on this color:
GLACIER FORGE - C-8200
Will report back with pics...

I have been using the Cerakote on a few things, some headers, engine aluminum parts . It is easier than spraying paint or powder coating The only thing that you need is a gun with a .80 tip I picked up one from Amazon for 40 bucks They do want to have the surfaces sand blasted but I have done bits that have been vapor blasted and it stays on All the stuff that I have tried has been their air cured stuff. I tried the stuff that requires a baking and has a catalyst but I wasnt able to bake it long and hot enough at the time so it did not come out well
Thanks, Rick
Is cerakote available in the flat gray like factory exhaust? Sounds like it is doable at home.

I use cold galvanizing compound on exhaust parts. LPS brand is my favorite. Easy to use spray cans, flat gray color, no curing quick dry, best over a sandblasted surface. It will burn off pipes by the exhaust ports a bit but holds up well for the rest of the system.

Interesting product. I went to the website and it does not say anything about high heat usage.
I used the CRC cold galvanizing after wire brushing the exterior. One can did the muffler, looks good to me and still nice after a year.
