    1970 heater Blower motor cover

I need some help please to identify the correct front luggage compartment, cardboard blower motor cover.

Did an early 70 car still have the TABS ON THE BODY FOR THE LEATHER STRAPS LIKE THE 69 CARS AND WHAT SHAPE IS CARDBOARD?

They are the 2 main questions please.

My 12/69 70S has the leather straps, I’m not sure what you mean by cardboard shape but it is original to car

The 70 does not use the leather, just 4 screws, 2 top, 2 bottom.
I’ll try to take a photo today.
    With snaps holding the carpet.

The 700 mile, 70s documents show the cover and the screw if you can find that link.
Tho, I see 700 car has a high VIN.

    Scott,
I beg to differ, my 12/69 has been in family since inception and has leather straps on front carpet. I don't know production date of the 700 mile car or if the factory was using leftover parts but I know what came in my car. I can get pictures later.

My 70S is a 12/69 as well and I’ve the same cover as julerb. Having said that, I think the confusion is stemming from the terminology. Clyde was asking about tabs on the body. Didn’t specifically mention tabs on the cover but, the early 70 cover has the tabs. No tabs on the body. And yes, my 12/69 has the leather straps too. The 700 mile 70S is quite a bit later MY70 production IIRC.

    Thanks for all the input

It has this cover in it currently I assume not correct from the above pic?

The carpet, which appears original to me, has the leather strap not the snaps.

    Clyde,
I don’t recognize a cover with cut outs like that as my 70, 72 and 79 don’t look like that. I can get better pics of the bracket for the leather straps if you are into fabricating. Shouldn’t be that difficult.
