    1962 356 Karmann hardtop

    Greetings ESR fans, presenting my 1962 356 Karmann Hardtop in factory Oslo Blue with Red Wine interior with matching #s 1720cc engine & hotrod bits done in period i.e, disc brakes, boxed spindles, 12V electrics, Carrera gauges & later T6 C tranny. Added recently are the American Racing magnesiums & vintage Abarth peashooter muffler.

    Make notchbacks great again ! 😁

    Beautiful notch! T6 hts are the best looking. The only thing I would do is have the rear reflectors below the bumper, euro style. Nonetheless really nice.

    Great job, as usual! Hope to see this next month. I really want to take a close look at some details. T6 Hardtops have some interesting things that are not shared with any other T6 except for a very few early production 62 cabriolets. Very cool car!

    Thank you Steve, Lars & Jim ! From my little research it looks like the T5 notch started out as a cabriolet body with a hardtop welded in but with the T6 notch the factory came up with a whole new design with a unique roof incorporated into the body. This notch originally had Grey interior but I changed it over to Red. Heres a few more pics & yes see you 1st Sat of December Jim.
