    WTB: 901 Gearbox Internals

I'm building a 1967 hotrod. I have a good 901 case. I need all the bits and pieces for the inside of the gearbox except the LSD that I recently purchased. If you have a good core 901 gearbox with the following gears and 7:31 r/p please dm.

    7:31 r/p
    18:34 A ; 19:32 F ; 22:29 M; 25:26 S; 28:24 Z or 29:23 X

You are showing 6 gears? If those gears are somewhat standard I probably have them. I will check my R&P for a 7:31, I do have a

904/911 mainshaft. This is the one where you can change all the gears, none of the gears are part of the mainshaft.

M and x gears you should be able to find cheap.

Personally I think it’s wiser to buy another 5 spd (1250-1500) and sell what you have.

Good luck with the used trans , always a small gamble .

Big gamble I’d say unless you drain and look for bits in the oil and on the magnetic plug, shift the gears, look at synchro teeth in the plug hole, spin the shafts and check for play in the main shaft bearing. Any other things you can bench test?
