As the owner of a Viper Green '73 with cork interior and Euro lenses on non-Euro signals (which I suspect you might have), and as a huge fan of Henry and Schneider Autohaus, I'm referring you to this thread: https://www.early911sregistry.org/fo...-signal-lenses

Another trip to the California Desert...

Had to leave snowy Colorado last week for some Porsche'ing in the desert.

Weather was not the normal 75 deg F & sunny but we still made the best of it.
Got in some great drives, canyon carving, nice to connect again with the cars and great friends. Over 6000 miles driven on the E since I purchased May 2021.

This 911E likely won't see the track, as much fun as it would be, the car in my opinion, is too nice to expose to a track environment.

Maybe my RSA or Carrera T
How about an Rgruppe SPD!? Fun and safe and there's one coming up this year.

    March 2025 update

Been almost 2 years since the last update.

Was recently in Palm Springs where car is currently stored for a long weekend which included a drive over to San Diego for a wedding.

It's always like Christmas when I fly in and pick the car up for a road trip. This car is the best MFI car I have driven, turned the key, let fuel pump prime for about 30 seconds, throttle lever up, fires up instantly, just like a modern car, even after being stored for 6 months. Always puts a smile on my face.

Spent a few days in the desert, then took an adventurous drive-up Hwy 74, to elevations of over 4500 ft... snow on the edge of the highway, 33 degrees with ice building up on the windshield.
Fortunately, on my way to Temecula & San Diego, I descended out of it and got into just steady rain. I have never driven or chosen to drive this car in the rain, but it did great.
It rained very hard overnight on Shelter Island, so I was happy to not have driven in that weather. Washed the car up the following morning and enjoyed the rest of the trip.
Lots of high-fives and people stopping asking about the car, what year is it? Telling stories of their 911's owned and smiles. One of the nice things about the hobby.

So far 8000 miles logged since purchasing in May 2021, a short 350 miles from this trip.

Be back in May for the Rgruppe Treffen on the central coast with more fun and miles to drive.
