    Spa Francorchamp

I am considering attending this years's Spa F1 race. I can get tickets but it seems the packages that provide hotel plus transfers to the track are full. So, a question for those of you who have attended the race. How would I get from Liege or Brussels to the track Fri-Sun? Seems a bit daunting sitting at my desk here in the US. Any advice is welcome. There was a suggestion that there are buses/trains to get to or near the track but the links seemed to take to race tickets. I do have the F1 Experience folks trying to scare up a room for me. If you have suggestions I am all ears.

I did find a house that says it it walking distance (15 min is the claim) for around US$1900 per night. 3 bedrooms so US$650 per night if there are 2 that want to share.

'99 C2, silver/black, RoW M030, limited lip, short shift - sold (good ride, but...)

I haven't attended F1, but I've raced at the Spa 6-Hours. In my opinion, you need to do whatever it takes/costs to stay in Spa itself. It's a very nice town. A commute from Liege or Brussels to and from the track twice a day would be a deal-killer for me.

I have been twice and only for the day of the race , I drove from Frankfurt the morning of (Sun) and continued into France that evening ,
was able to find accommodations on or near the road in France a few hours south of.
I then went on to Nice each year to visit a friend then traveled at my leisure to Italy and Monza (Milan) the following week .
Fantastic time plenty of hotels and air B and Bs ..Bert

As an habitué of Spa since many years, with countless track days / participation to events, I can tell you that a major event such as Formula 1 always causes a mess in terms of traffic jams. Find anything at walking distance whatever it takes. Otherwise, staying in Malmedy or Francorchamps and renting a moped / scooter could also be a solution (hopefully it's not going to rain).

    Good luck!

Vettel was tempted but declined my offer of a tow from our British Racing Drivers Club buggy at Silverstone — think it was 2021.

Thank you all for the replies. I have found a house that says it is walking distance, 1.24 miles. US$2k per night has 3 bedrooms. Anyone interested in sharing? For 4 nights a bit less than US$3k if three share, each with a bedroom. Let me know if there is interest. Figure this won’t last long.

Thank you for the offer but ... I'd probably be sailing in Croatia on that date

Ok, solved my Spa issue. Apparently F1 Experiences opened up more rooms, so I have room and transport from Spa for 3 days. Now, who knows about getting to the Hungaroring from downtown Budapest?
