    Go to #177. Ultra Blau (Blue). 68/69 optional color I think. That's the original color. The original owner had it painted beige. And it was poorly done.
    Here it is, waiting it's turn to get prepped for painting. All the pickup points are spot on. None of the gaps moved. Should have racked it first, then metal work. Fortunately it all worked out. It's a 50K SoCal car I found in Rolling Hills. Just a few miles from where I grew up in Malaga Cove PV. The car spent half it's life not being driven. Jon and I inspected the car after paint removal. It had about a half dozen pin size holes under the hood seal on the passenger side. As best I remember that was it. And a very strait car as well. This car is going to be a BIG upgrade from my 912 Super POLO car. It's a 2.7 and should make at least the 210 hp of a 73 RS. I'm guessing 210 to 230. The cam is way beyond a S cam and it has if I remember correctly a 11.2 CR. Oh, and the Sydmur Fyerball has been converted for a four cylinder twin plug.

    I gave the picture of the owners future Ultra Blau car to him for Christmas. Not an exact match but close enough.
