From all my research, it is essentially a five step process:
(a) remove all existing paint/finish via media blaster and hand sand as necessary
(b) apply etch primer to bare metal surface (min. 24 hrs to dry)
(c) apply semi-gross black paint to hinge exposed surface (allow enough time for paint to completely dry)
(d) apply a spray adhesive (3m) over the painted surface to create a spatter finish (practice achieving the correct spray pattern on a cardboard). Allow adhesive to dry for min. 48 hours.
(e) Once adhesive is completely dry, apply final semi-gross paint over the adhesive dried surface

Step c is not required , but this is allegedly how Recarro created the finish .
I took mine apart first which is a bit of a PITA (there are a couple of threads here outlining the process) then performed Steps A, B and C as outlined above.
I then applied the crinkle using Wurth SKS Black Stoneguard using the Wurth schutz gun. I held the gun about 12 inches away
That’s a good look, and I have the Wurth gun on the shelf. I Better decide quickly as Tony has shipped both seats back already.
That looks really good. Which Wurth gun did you use? One uses a canister for the bottle of schutz another just screws onto the bottle.

I used the Wurth gun that screws directly onto the bottle of Stoneguard. I set it up using a relatively low air pressure at the gun, did a little adjusting at the nozzle and shot the Stoneguard from about 12" away from the recliner to get the desired texture.
Thank you! I might have to take mine apart again to get the nice finish you have. Next winters project.
