    Little hose for air bottle

Today I received 2 spare air bottles in their boxes. I don’t know if these are original boxes or new boxes, most likely very difficult to see?
One of the bottle still has the seal on the valve!
Both boxes are however missing the hose to connect to the tire.
Somebody has a source for a good replica of these hoses?

Not seen replacement hoses. Nice find. These were a use and return as core to swap so if one needed that car would no longer retain the original with which was supplied. Not serialised but there are usually two date stamp marks .

Would be interested to see the date stamp on the metal canister body also the date stamp on the brass valve. They were superseded by the Webster 12v in certain ( export) markets. Likley there were different forms packaging used, if search this forum you should find images of examples said to be nos in different type packaging. Those are typically dated later than preimpact era so perhaps how they packaged a core once refilled and restocked.

This white box with sticker that mirrors the sticker stuck on the cylinder directly was made certainly made as repro but perhaps there was original packaging like this box label in era — to your point it looks remarkably clean and good box for something around five decades old. I vaguely recall the repro label from one source had a typo or some artefact in printing that is a “tell” compared to survivor labels found on an original bottle.

An example in a boxed example with appropriate date stamps on metal and brass and with a KG era spare part number stickers would be very interesting to see as it might inform how these were delivered new, at the time the innovative space saver and bottle filler were introduced in early 70s.

Repro bottles were made and offered but those are very different shape and (had to) have a safety regulator to be usable under health and safety regulations. From what I can see in image here seems that brass component is per mine which is old . That more bell shaped tap with a red cap is generally on those with stamp later than the more squared tap like in my calendar 72 built 73 RS.

I remember mine was braided metal over rubber and 5 or 6" long. The bottle was 3/73.

    My little collection of bottles
2 of these are the Opel bottles, which have the release valve but different shape of bottle.
On the valve, there are 2 different types. The rather square type has the oldest dates and the same kind of hose. On the Porsche bottle the date is 72.

Both seem to have the same hose, with a longer end piece.
For the bottle with the ‘round’ valves, there is only a 1 with a hose which looks old, so most likely I would need to find some reproductions like this.

I think I need something like this to match the hose of the bottles with the round valve

My pipe is like the shorter one shown and construction as Steve described . Also the difference I mentioned between ( as predicted the earlier dated) with the more square tap vs the (later dated ) bell shaped / red cap tap evident in these photos.

I suspect the original ones fir the preimpact era are the square tap but not seen enough to be sure — also the use return refill process will probably have introduced variability making it less clear.

I had a couple of opel variant sold them to someone who I think thought he was putting one one over on me by getting Porsche ones cheap but I knew they were opel — Just wanted rid of opel stuff.
