    W: 70-71 911 2.2s

Need a new caretaker for your 70-71 S? (also would consider an E)

I am on the lookout and would prefer a non restored nice original car with lovely stories from an enjoyed life.
If its restored, that's ok, I will just be curious as to what it looked like before and during restoration.

I have looked to all corners of the internet for a little while now and there's a few out there that could be a possibility, but would love to find one here in this wonderful community!

I can assure the 911 will be well cared for and enjoyed on many family road trips and adventures!

    Two-Point-Two

I've always considered the 2.2 the 'sweet spot' for the 911

    • Still high-compressed
    • Still short stroked
    • Still dog-legged
    • Still un-fettered emission-wise

Definitely not to everyone's taste . . . peaky engine, attention-demanding gearbox, and just generally a bit of a chore run-around in. There's nothing casual about using one of these. (Pretty exhausting, really)

But once I was acclimated to its 'personality'? . . . just about the most fun I can have sitting down

And I feel like a hero every time I drive it. Still

Good luck with your search . . .

. . . and share about what you come across?

I surely agree about the sweet spot and best time you can have sitting down

I've driven quite a few years of early 911's and I'm positive the 70-71 is my favorite. When I do find "the one" it will stay in my family for as long as I'm alive.

As far as a G-body car, I own a very nice '84 and to me... That's the sweet spot for that era of 911. Those two cars in your stable, that's as good as it gets.

    '70 Conda

    Here's one . . .

    . . .'

'. . . 1970 Porsche 911S is original Conda Green, which is a very rare sight.

It's a project car, so it needs to be completely refinished.

A large portion of the floorpan has already been replaced once, although no holes can be seen in the underside. Battery parts have been replaced, so not much welding is likely.

The car has Dutch papers, making export to EU countries extra easy
    . . .'

I don't usually post cars that don't show a VIN, but since you're shopping, I thought I'd at least pass this one along

    After all --- that's how I found mine . . .

Not bad, but looking for something more original without lots of metal work that's been done... Just an original well cared for 911 is what I'd prefer.
