Chuck sent me this photo of him and his brother a long time ago...I never got to meet his brother but I really like this picture and I think they look so good together...looks like they are at an AAA-office?...picking up "someone's" driving license maybe?...... just kidding....

Update on next steps:
I spoke this evening with Chuck’s relative that will be handling his affairs. Services and a potential memorial gathering are being discussed by his family. I would expect Chuck’s service to be family-only. The memorial gathering will be announced once set up. Please stay tuned to this thread for updates. Thanks for your patience.

I'll make every effort to be there, when ever or where ever it is. Chuck and I go way back. He would always stop by my shop on his way to Chico to be with his family and we would always connect at RGruppe and Early S events. My last contact with Chuck was last Thursday night when I poured him a freshly made Margarita in the parking lot of the Marriott Hotel in Buelton at around 11:00 PM. Hard to comprehend that less than 12 hours later, he was gone.
RIP Chuck, no keep up the pace you have set for all of us and know that you will always be in our thoughts.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Chuck's passing. I never met him, but I feel like I lost a close friend. He was always cordial, friendly and helpful. He has left a huge void in our online community and will always be in my thoughts. RIP Chuck.

So incredibly saddened on learning of Chuck’s passing.
I’m about to embark on a 3 day tour in my ‘72S with a group of enthusiasts, and he’ll be in my thoughts every km.
Probably flying above like the Guardian Angel he is?
Chuck was a shining example of the ethos we all need to embrace as Longhood custodians - “Get out there and drive it”.
RIP Chuck. And enjoy tearing up the canyons up there with Cris!

Chuck was in many ways the heart of Early S and a serious part of R Gruppe. RIP indeed. We all go sometime but this is sad.
Sadness is all I have. Didn't know Chuck all that well. Finally met him face to face at the LA Lit Meet this year. Great guy. Big loss. I've been with the Early 911 S Registry many years. Always associated him with this group. He was the lead figure if you ask me.
Drive away my friend.
