I'm in.

I'm good for 3 sets to start. As Eric said, the sliders are equally inportant.
Guys,
I know that you excluded the later sliders from this discussion. But what's so difficult about doing a 73 as long as you have the torch out?
I have a pax side sport seat without a base that has been hanging in my basement since Mulholland Drive was a dirt road. I could use a 73 base.
BTW, I was looking at my German Language price list from 71 and noticed that the extra charge was 222 DM for a PAIR of sports seats back then. At roughly 4 DM to the dollar, 60 bucks would have got you a pair of seats complete with sliders.

To be sure that we are talking about the same seat bracket I'd like to post a picture of the one that I am thinking about having duplicated. The sliders I don't think will be possible, but the bracket with the height adjustable holes can be made for "y' all" to attach to your sliders. I will try to post a picture tomorrow.
BTW: Webmaster, seems that a lot uf us are having trouble minimizing our picture files to post in this site. Would it take a lot more to change the site? Just a thought! You guys have done this community a tremendous service. I can not imagine what it must have been like before the internet (Thank you Ronny Reagan (RIP)).

Vollgas!
Hmmm,
Attached is the "simple" tip bracket. Note that the bracket has a locking mechanism, which in my opinion is also needed. Note however, that the bracket doesn't have the 3 holes for adjustment...that's part of the slider.
What can you duplicate?
From my standpoint, we still need the sliders..... and I believe that's the case for many of the respondents....
By the way, the "hinge" is from the 356 parts bin, it's the one used for the Speedster tip bracket, and it's still available.
Eric
Is the frame like this?this kind of frame?
By the way if this frame is identical, than does the selling price reflect a fair price for one frame?
Also can some one post a picture or link of the slider mechanism?
Last MN, what will you be duplicating?
Thanks,
Richard
The base in the Ebay auction...is the same as the one in my pic, you can also see the slider in my pic....

I would be interested in seeing up close pictures from the slider mechanism, showing them complete. To understand how these works/ the differences vs. de '69-'73.
Richard
Can't right now, leaving on trip.
However, the sliders on 67/68 are incorporated into the seat, and the sliders on the 69 to 73's are a part of the seat base.., not the seat.
