That's kind of like asking how much to repaint a car...

If I still had the car, I would send the wheels to Harvey Weidman, 530-534-7903. I think he would do your car justice. Take care![]()

send them to Harvey !
Harvey did my 7/9 Fuchs on my SC.
He charged me $600 for paint/polished lips, all lugs/center caps.
That price included mounting/balancing new tires, had
Tire rack send him the tires.
The wheels really came out nice.
Prepare to wait. Took him 3 mos to get them done, but
that was during the busy summer season.
I have some close-ups of the wheels here.

Chris Powell had Al Reed paint/polish the deep 6's on
my 1970 E. He paid $280, but that was 2 years ago,
I think Al has raised his prices since then & his wait times
have increased.
does anyone think that the black paint could just be taken off on a do it yourself basis and the wheels turn out ok?

Of course you can strip them. Paint remover will do it. I had mine soda blasted instead, then used easyoff oven cleaner to remove the anodizing, then polished and painted to suit.

Hello: Buy a can of spray on paint remover. Spray it on and wait then scrape the paint right off and wash with water. You may have to do this a couple of times. You can get the paint remover from any building center. Now put this in your mind a kid buys this stuff and decides to do some damage. Oh Oh better hide the can. I will also see if I can take those pics of the deep sixs I have and talked about a while back. Sorry for the delay. Thanks Eric

if you have a set already finished for sale I would appreciate you letting me know. I am looking for 5 with hearts in nice condition but will take 4 if you only have that many. I can always source one for spare in ok condition and refinsh later.
thanks

I know I'm not even on the same continent but I charge £125 ($225) to refurbish Fuchs to original condition
