    Best Rubber Parts

Okay, I'm getting ready to re-paint my car. Not a bare metal job, just a windows out respray and some minor dents rust bubble repair. Where should I get the rubber seals from? Pelican, Mid America? I'm going to replace as much as I can. Although price is a consideration, fit is more important. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Tom! The good thing is that the fender to cowel seal is the only ones I don't really need. They are in great shape. The PO repainted the car in 1991, and this car has been garaged kept forever.

Stoddards has thick and thin cowl seals.

There is a company that is supposed to have high quality rubber -- International Mercantile in California 800/356-0012.

Gary Emory (Parts Obsolete) might still have some - tho they are closing out that end of the business.

I was told that most aftermarket rubber out there was very poor quality and to stick with the factory or the 2 above.

I bought my w/shield and rear glass rubbers from stoddards. I had them installed by a glass installer and was told that the rubbers were great. They have had to work with a lot of poor quality seals for old cars.

That's good to know. I'm leaning towards Stoddards and Pelican. I will probably buy from both...
