Anybody ever try this combo? I know it will work, what I need to know is how it looks.

Probably not of much help Curt but I have the 1/24 scale Fujimi Model of the 911R and the box cover provides the following tire/wheel specs:
Front - 6J x 15 + 185/70VR15
Rear - 7J x 15 + 195/70VR15

Curt,
This was the standard front wheel/tyre combination on the '75 Carreras.
Check your old Road and Tracks and Car and Drivers tests for pics.

I was running 6/7 Fuchs with skinny 185/70/15 Yoko A-008R track tires on my 73E during the 2003/2004 track (DE) seasons. Nice preformance, but the wider tires work better now that I'm getting a bit faster. Bottom line, they'll fit, Curt.

I just want to make sure it doesn't look like too little tire for the wheel. I have a thing about mismatched tire-wheel combos! Sounds like this combo will be OK.
Curt,These are 185/70/15 XWX`s on 7`s all around.Stock rear fenders.Let me know if you need close ups and I`ll send them.TFM

Rick2,Would you tell me what that finish is on your wheels? I just got that car and am not wild about the polished look on it and probably will go to 6x7 in the correct finish if I can find wheels.Beautiful color and finish on yours. Tom

The 7R wheel I bought had an old 185/70 Pirelli on it. I was surprised how well it looked.
Those XWXs on Tom's car is the Shizzle.I agree though, get the original finish on those wheels.
