    Classic and Speed Parts

    I am thinking of buying the dual brake curcuit they have but on their site I notice that it states that the piston must be adapted for use. In what way ?
    Anyone know ?
    I tried to e-mail them but they won't accept my address.

    Thanks;

    John

    Hi John, I dont know the answer to your question, but i will tell you right now, CSP is just about the only place i will go to get parts for my car. Their products and their service are top notch, and are hard to beat. Also Will (the owner) is as honest and trustworthy as they come.

    I suggest giving Will a call, im sure he can answer your question. 626-445-0108.

    Thanks Harry, I will be doing that.
    Just wondering if anyone could post what needed to be done so I could digest it.And maybe someone else could benefit from it also.

    youre talking about the dual master conversion kit, to convert from a single to a dual master system right? http://classicandspeedparts.com/s/pr...8958d598f23b08

    I looked at the website, and it said "Note: our kit no longer includes the later pedal pushrod (no longer available), so you must modify yours to fit."

    is this what youre talking about?

    i think this means the rod that connects the pedal to what ever it is in the brake system to make it work. perhaps get part (rod) from a later car that has a dual master and modify it to work with the early pedal? who knows..

    also you should go to www.912BBS.org. this is the forum that all the 912 registry members go to. many in the registry have done this conversion, using this very kit. the 912 registry members make up an enormous part of CSP's clientel (we are very loyal to him cause of how much D&D he puts into custom parts for our cars at such a great quality and recreating alot of hard to find parts too), and while we may not be 911s, we do share alot of stuff like this with the early 911s -so there is a good chance someone there can pass on some experience with this. also Will at CSP frequents the 912BBS, so you might just be able to talk to will on there too.

    Got some e-mails through which were VERY promptly replied to.
    Will told me that I would need to cut an approx an inch off my pushrod.

    I don't like the way that sounds - Ouch
