another rsize photos question....
Why is it that some posters photos are extremly large. They take up the entire width of the screen, several inches long.
When I post, the photos are put together/next to each other. NOT underneath.

if you look at the photo on the right, they look TOO condensed.
The file size per my computer, using ACD Photoshop is 97.4, just under the limit...
How do I get the large clear photos underneath each other?
Thanks

Ray-
Those two photos show up on my screen under one another, not side by side. The one of Andy is distorted, though. When resizing, be sure you preserve the aspect ratio (W vs. H) by specifying the width at 800 pixels or so and letting the software choose the correct dimension for the height to preserve the aspect ratio. Change DPI to 75 to keep the overall file size down under the limit for posting and you should be good to go.
Here's a pic at 800 x 600 and 75 DPI that comes in at 84KB and uploads fine.

Tom,
Thanks for the tip. I have been at work for the last few days. I will repost tomorrow, see how it goes. Great seeing you again at Cal. Speedway.

Still not coming across as 800x600. This pic is only 73kb in size, so well under the posting limit of 97.7 and still has semi-decent quality. Keep poking at it, you'll get it figured out.....

John,
I size mine at 600 x 400 at 72 ... seems to work well
Is that a Butler-Porsche 356?

Boy Chuck, no fooling a fooler, I guess. Yep, Beutler actually, one of five. That was at the 50th anniversary at Laguna in 1998. More info on it here -

They also did some VW's, including a weird station wagon. Maybe at least here I can show you some VW's you don't know -
