I have seen both sold as 169 when searching this board, witch is the correct 169? I know the top mounted one are also marked as 169, but not correct for Porsche.

John,
My lights are in storage, and I won't have access for another couple of weeks....sorry. Perhaps Michael hordes these as well...?
regards,
Eric
Well John, I'm a little biased since I took the picture on the bottom.![]()
I was waitin to see if anyone else would respond.
Honestly, I'm still confused about the whole 169/139 thing but, I have a couple of theories. I believe the bottom mount is more correct than the one you show on top. The ovals are rubber gasket like pieces.

Michael, the reason I ask is that I have seen cars with both and the owners claim both types as original and listed on their COA. Of cource the top ones could be a later production and some of these cars could have installed the newer type if their old ones where tired?

I only have one pair of these in amber. The clear pair I had, I sold. Both had the mounts like the lower set. John, it is possible that the upper light is a newer run. Personally, if the case itself is the same dimensionally I wouldn't sweat it. Now, this same case has versions with the post coming out the top rather than the rear (rotate for mount out the bottom). This version will not work with the placement of the bracket holes in the bumper.
Tell you what John. I'll dig my pair out, shoot a series of pics, and re-size them to post. My home PC is currently in the shop for an anti-daughter tune upand I have no access to most of my pics. I have some pics on my laptop here but not of this pair.

Michael, yes seats are a pain![]()
Lights are pretty easy, when I get to the cabin, I'll take a few pics of this pair, and some others in another case.

I'll take that amber set up in the corner. If they're in the case, they're for sale right?Originally Posted by Soterik

That's how they do it at Easy.

I've never gotten Jim to sell me anything from the case.... but I've never waived green bills under his nose either...Originally Posted by 70SATMan

yes the case is the exact same dimesions exept that the wiring comes out of the senter bolt on the "newer set" as opposed to the "earlier type" where the wires come out of a hole in the back of the case, just above the mounting bolt. There is a rubber gromet in the hole in the "earlier type".
I wonder where Eric's cabin is located![]()
