Seems like a bargain compared to some of the stuff on e-bay.

Looks neat...would it even be allowed in California by the DMV?

I like this too, looks pretty well done, alot of great parts as well, be easy to finish very right...BUT, a GT steering wheel????? Don't you get those at PepBoys?
"a faithful reproduction"?!
the engine is only a 2.7 although interestingly enough, there are ads out there for this car that claims it has a 2.8.
By the way, check out the following:
http://www.johnsonautosport.com/forsale.htm
Among other cars listed is an RSR replica for $50k, with a carburated twin plug 2.8. Not street legal but frankly the car that is discussed in this thread is barely street legal with a fuel cell, etc. the pictures on Johnson Autosport's web site don't do the car justice. It was a big fan favorite at the October PCA club race at Daytona.
If anyone is seriously interested in an very nice 73 RSR replica I am going to be putting mine up for sale once it is finished in the next few weeks.

Cool concept, but the turbo flares are a real buzz-kill for me, personally.
Phil, post some pics of your work in progress. Sounds nice.

good hearing from you Luis.
Our RS replica is finally going to be on track next weekend at BIR. the car looks great. Now we'll have to see if the drivers are as good. I'll say hello to your Dad.
I think the term "replica" really does not apply here (as in most instances I see). The motor, gas tank and seats are all wrong to be considered a replica - and that's just for starters. It is an RSR "style" or "look" 911 at a prtty high asking price.
