All my german equipment is either busted or sold...sigh....in the market for a decent non-sunroof tub!!!!!!! Help me get back to autocrossing!!!
I think a pretty good one is about $13-$15k, if I remember from that one that was for sale .... does $13,6k sound familiar?

Yeah, that's right. There was one here. Can't seem to find it in the archives. Anyway, I'm always astounded by the performance figures for these cars.
they were quite the car in their day. I seem to remember that Road and Track took one down to th OC drags and posted some pretty impressive times.
They cost a bundle to fix as well, the air suspension was notorious for failures...

My oldest brother took his drivers test in one (1969 model) and guess what, it was sold shortly there after.. I remember going across wyoming just before 55, flat out for 100's of miles.. Great car.. the Steve Mc car went for a premium for a few reasons, i would have loved to have it..

CPI: Excellent condition pushes $29,000. Fair is $7,500. Everything else is about how bad somebody wants it.
These are built the way Mercedes used to build cars.

I have some Palm Springs air Steve McQueen inhaled between rails of coke at a party in 1971. Nicely displayed in a quart-sized ziplock bag. Starting bid $10,000...
