Thread: 1967 sports seat same as 1968?

I'm not complaining (really). I wanted to make sure you weren't another "broker" selling things that didn't belong to him. Hah!

Let Soterik tell you about sport seats.

Here are my favorites in no particular order:

A worn 69-73 seat (once broken in they cannot be beaten for comfort)

    1967 Sport Seats (the lightest)

    Vintage Seats R replicas (cozy)

    '94 Speedster seats (straight jackets)

My driver seat burlap straps have a bit of sag in them and you sink a bit in the back of the bottom cushion. I find that makes it more comfortable than the passenger that has no wear. Is that the broken in you speak of? It was pointed out to me that I could replace and then not sit so low in the seat but it seems to make it more comfortable

The upholstery on those seats on ebay was "wrong" i.e. aftermarket.

Thanks for all your information folks!

A friend of mine are maybe willing to trade his two 67 sports seats in ok/usable condition(black vinyl and black cordouroy inserts) with my plastic Recaro R seat and some other parts worth ca $800-1000. My R seat needs full recovering.

A simoular R seat were sold on ebay Germany for 1300 Euro few days ago..

General loosening which takes time. I've had 2 sets of seats re-covered and both times I was sitting ON TOP of them when fresh.
Only when everything "gets aquainted" do they feel right.

Breaking in a baseball glove would be a fair analogy.
