What is the difference in coupe and targa SWB rubber mats?

See subject. Can someone post up a description or pics of the differences between the two? I'm scoping some rubber mats for my '68 and want to make sure I get the right ones. Thanks.

Reply to my own post! For info purposes.

Targa right side mat has a curved right diagonal side, the coupe one is straight diagonal.

They still don't fit long-wheelbase cars properly due to differences in the passenger side floor. I have a set at the shop - I'll try to grab some pics later today.

The front wheelhouse is reinforced/different on a Targa than a coupe. The curved cut out area on the mat for the wheelwell in the footwell is larger on the Targa. You can trim a coupe version to fit a Targa but a Targa version would not fit in a coupe. This all for SWB.

What are some sources for rubber floor mats for a LWB car?

    Thanks,

To my knowledge, Sherwood, rubber floormats were not available on long-wheelbase cars.

However, early rubber mats will fit a long-wheelbase car ... except for the passenger side which never really fits just right due to the footwell being a different shape.

The rears (and exceptionally rare tunnel piece) should fit all cars as well.

As for sources - try Lowes. No, really, try Lowes .. .they sell a great rubber material with lines that can be cut to fit perfectly - I know a few Registry members who've done this with great success.

I found a set of 4 original '68 912 floormats a few months ago that were FILTHY but in good shape. After a day or two of cleaning, they dropped right in my base '68 911. Fit like a glove and have some nice "patina". Ahhhhhhh......I think I'm nuts.
